Microsoft is reportedly preparing to refresh its ARM-driven Surface Pro X this slide. Windows Central reviews that the Area Pro X will be updated to incorporate Microsoft’s SQ2 processor, which will probably be based mostly on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 5G. It’s not obvious if this refreshed Area Professional X will include 5G support, but Qualcomm’s most recent chip supports the choice for Microsoft to include things like it.
Microsoft is also rumored to be operating on a new color variant for this current Area Pro X, which would see the product start in the platinum normally located on the Intel-based mostly Surface area Pro line. Microsoft introduced the Floor Professional X in black last year, with a black Type Protect. It’s likely we’ll see a variety of Kind Cover colours for this new Area Pro X to complement the new platinum variant.
There are no rumors all over any design or sizeable hardware variations past the chip update, so it is very likely that Microsoft will adhere to the thinner and lighter layout it launched last 12 months for the Professional X. The processor by itself could enable increase the performance of the Area Professional X, which struggled with conventional emulated applications.
Microsoft will probably keep an October Area party to introduce this updated Surface Professional X, alongside a rumored more compact 12.5-inch Surface area Notebook.
