SpaceX Capsule Resilience, Carrying Four Astronauts, Docks With ISS

Four astronauts driving a newly designed spacecraft from Elon Musk’s SpaceX docked with the Worldwide Space Station Monday night, in the initial crewed mission on a privately built area capsule ordered by NASA.

SpaceX’s Crew Dragon capsule, dubbed Resilience by its crew of three Americans and one particular Japanese astronaut, docked at 11:01pm EST (9:31am Tuesday IST), 27 hours just after launching atop a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral, Fla.

The room station, an orbital laboratory about 250 miles (400 km) earlier mentioned Earth, will be their residence for the upcoming 6 months.
