Russia Blocks Human Rights Watch OVD-Info’s Internet site

Russia has blocked the web site of OVD-Info, a distinguished human legal rights watch monitoring political persecution, the team mentioned Saturday, as authorities press in advance with a crackdown on dissent.

Russia’s Supreme Court is considering regardless of whether to shut major rights team Memorial, which functions with the monitor.

OVD-Details, which tracks opposition protests and also gives authorized support to victims of political persecution, claimed the Roskomnadzor media regulator had blocked its site earlier this week.
