If iMessage sliced off each ends of your tweets, you are not by itself

On Thursday, I wrote that Twitter was owning a rough February after dealing with problems for the 2nd time in a 7 days, and on Friday, the organization was working with a weird iMessage bug. If you were on an Apple system and texting a tweet to your buddy on an Apple system, the to start with and last people in the tweet would not clearly show up. As noted by 9to5Mac, tweet previews sent by way of iMessage appeared to be lacking the initially and previous characters of the tweet, building them browse oddly.

Myself and one more Verge writer experienced this bug as properly. Here’s how Apple’s Messages app on my Iphone, Mac, and Apple Look at displayed a tweet I wrote yesterday:

When achieved for comment, Twitter spokesperson Stephanie Cortez at first stated the bug appeared to have been set, but it turns out that was not the case — Cortez said soon just after we very first published this posting that the business was conscious of the difficulty and on the lookout into a take care of. When I checked late Friday night, the bug was fastened for me on all of my units. Apple didn’t reply to a request for remark.
