Why Flipkart stated “we messed up” on Intercontinental Women’s Working day

Flipkart has been experiencing big backlash more than its Global Females‘s Working day advertising message.

For the unversed, the e-commerce web page lately sent out messages to persons in which it targeted predominantly on kitchen area appliances bargains.

“Expensive Customer, This Women’s Day, let us celebrate You. Get Kitchen area Appliances from Rs 299 [sic],” go through the message.

Even so, the unique message did not go down perfectly with a segment of men and women. Many slammed the corporation for being “sexist”.

In accordance to netizens, the information bolstered negative stereotypes about females belonging in the kitchen area.

Immediately after being termed out, Flipkart apologised for hurting the sentiments of the people today.

“We messed up and we are sorry. We did not intend to hurt anyone’s sentiments and apologise for the Women’s Day concept shared before,” Flipkart stated in its apology tweet.
