SHANGHAI: China‘s central bank reported on Saturday it will more broaden a pilot plan of its digital currency to more parts, such as metropolitan areas in the jap Zhejiang province which is established to host the Asian Online games afterwards this 12 months.

The People’s Lender of China (PBOC) claimed it will promote the exploration and growth of the digital forex, dubbed e-CNY, and develop the scope of the pilot plan, in accordance to an online assertion.

Tianjin, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Fuzhou, Xiamen and 6 towns in the coastal Zhejiang province will be added to the current 10 key “pilot” cities to check the use e-CNY, it explained.
