
Russian communications regulator Roskomnadzor said on Tuesday it required Wikipedia to get rid of “content with inaccurate facts of community fascination” about the condition in Ukraine.
The regulator accused Wikipedia of internet hosting untrue info on what Russia calls its “special operation” in Ukraine and on the actions of Russia’s military services much too.
According to Russian law, the operator of an Online useful resource that does not delete unlawful facts when asked to do so by Roskomnadzor can be fined up to RUB 4 million (about Rs. 3.6 lakh), the regulator explained.
Russia despatched tens of countless numbers of troops into Ukraine on February 24, a move that has been achieved with fierce Ukrainian resistance and Western sanctions.
