Microsoft claims it disrupted attempted hacks by Russian spies

Microsoft Corp said it had disrupted hacking tries by Russian army spies aimed at breaking into Ukrainian, European Union, and American targets.

In a blog put up, the tech company reported a team it nicknamed “Strontium” was utilizing 7 net domains as part of an hard work to spy on govt bodies and think tanks in the EU and the United States, as nicely as Ukrainian institutions these as media businesses.

Microsoft did not identify any of the targets by title.
