NASA’s Spitzer House Telescope has captured a grand watch whilst checking out patches of the sky. In an infrared image captured by the telescope and posted on social media by NASA, we see a cosmic cloud that resembles a butterfly. But never be fooled. This impression is of a cluster of “newborn stars”, a nebula of new stars. The graphic displays massive red clouds of gasoline and dust in which new stars may type. What looks like a butterfly’s wings are in fact big bubbles of hot, interstellar gas that are emanating from the hottest and most large stars.
