EU extends roaming regulations for telecom providers

The European Union has prolonged ‘Roam-like-at-home’ polices for telecom suppliers right until 2032, the European Fee announced on Thursday.

The scheme permits travellers in the EU and the EEA to get in touch with, textual content and surf abroad without further costs.

“With our roaming regulation we have all benefitted from Roam-like-at-property,” EU’s top rated official Margrethe Vestager reported in an official statement.

“This is a very tangible gain of our European Single Market. Prolonging these policies will retain inter-operator charges competitive, and permit shoppers to continue experiencing no cost-of-charge roaming services for the up coming 10 years.”
