James Cameron May Not Immediate Avatar 4 and Avatar 5, Here’s Why

James Cameron, who has directed Avatar: The Way of Drinking water and is by now functioning on its sequel Avatar 3, may possibly not return for Avatar 4 and Avatar 5 as he plans to function on “some other things”. In a new job interview, the Titanic filmmaker reported that he may well “pass the baton” to yet another director, if he is not able to fit the proposed sequels into his schedule. Cameron, even so, didn’t fall any hints about who is possible to take in excess of as director when he techniques aside, which indicates that he might not have a substitution in mind ideal now.

Cameron informed Empire: “The Avatar movies themselves are variety of all-consuming. I have obtained some other items I’m producing as well that are interesting. I assume eventually over time — I you should not know if that’s just after 3 or just after four — I am going to want to go the baton to a director that I trust to acquire above, so I can go do some other things that I am also interested in. Or possibly not. I will not know.”

The veteran director further more uncovered that whilst Avatar 3 is a lock, the fate of its sequels will count on “market forces”. Cameron additional that he, either way, hopes to make Avatar 4 and Avatar 5 as they are element of “one large story”.

Even though nothing at all is established in stone, I would not be as well stunned if Cameron does certainly go down this route soon after Avatar 3. He had previously roped in Robert Rodriguez to direct the Rosa Salazar-led cyberpunk actioner Alita: Fight Angel. Cameron at first required to adapt that for the big display, but he was tied up with Avatar: The Way of Drinking water.

Cameron, in the meantime, is awaiting the launch of Avatar: The Way of Drinking water, which has garnered a fair deal of awareness thanks to its nearly-wordless teaser. The sequel to 2009’s sci-fi film Avatar is headlined by Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldaña who reprise their roles as Jake Sully and Neytiri, respectively, from the first movie. The likes of Stephen Lang, Dileep Rao, and Matt Gerald way too return as their respective people from Avatar. Lang and Gerald apparently feature in Avatar: The Way of Water regardless of the point that their characters died in the initial film.

Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Edie Falco, Brendan Cowell, Michelle Yeoh, Jemaine Clement, Oona Chaplin, Vin Diesel, and CJ Jones are the new additions to the Avatar universe.

Avatar: The Way of Water releases December 16 in India in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. The next Avatar film will be followed by three additional sequels with Avatar 3, Avatar 4, and Avatar 5 slated for December 2024, December 2026, and December 2028, respectively. Cameron might not return to direct Avatar 4 and Avatar 5.
