Telecom regulator TRAI on Friday floated a consultation paper to look for community sights on the adoption of synthetic intelligence and massive knowledge to make improvements to telecom companies and improve network securities and efficiencies. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) in its session paper on “Leveraging synthetic intelligence and Significant Data in the telecommunication sector” has sought views on sectors wherever current and future abilities of the telecom networks can be used to leverage AI (synthetic intelligence) and BD (big knowledge).

The session paper follows a reference to the regulator from the Division of Telecom in June 2019 in which the department has sought advice from TRAI on leveraging AI and BD in a synchronised and powerful fashion to boost the total top quality of assistance, spectrum management, network safety and trustworthiness.

The regulator has sought feeling on hazards in the adoption of AI and BD, this sort of as unethical use, bias in info and algorithms, privacy, product instability, regulatory and authorized non-compliance, as perfectly as strategies and mechanisms to mitigate pitfalls.

TRAI has fixed September 16 as the previous date for remark on the paper and September 30 for counter remarks.
