More than 5 Crore Grievances Versus Telcos Acquired in FY22, Governing administration Says

Additional than five crore problems were being been given in opposition to telecom operators linked to mobile solutions in the course of 2021-22, with about 54 per cent of them versus Airtel, followed by Vodafone Concept, Parliament was informed on Friday. Minister of Point out for Communications Devusinh Chauhan, in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, gave info on complaints obtained in opposition to different telecom service vendors connected to cell telephony in the course of 2021-22, as per which the range for Airtel stood at 2,99,68,519, and for Vodafone Idea at 2,17,85,460.

The amount of these problems against Reliance Jio was 25.8 lakh.

In all, approximately 5.5 crore complaints similar to mobile mobile telephone companies ended up registered by consumers via helpline figures of operators at grievance centres throughout 2021-22.

The range of issues versus condition-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) and Mahanagar Phone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) stood at 8.8 lakh and 48,170 respectively.

“The grievances obtained at criticism centres by means of purchaser helpline numbers are resolved by the involved service supplier,” the minister reported.

Wherever the grievances are not settled by the provider providers, the complainant can approach the public grievance wing of the Section of Telecommunications. All the grievances so been given are monitored and resolved via the Centralised Public Grievance Redressal and Monitoring Technique (CPGRAMS) portal.

“The amount of grievances been given throughout 2021-22 via CPGRAMS portal was 58911, out of which 58,224 were being fixed,” the minister included.

To an additional problem, Chauhan said the number of BSNL clients who opted for community port out stood at 52.3 lakh in 2021-22, while the subscribers porting in ended up at 28.8 lakh.

Stiff competition in the telecom sector drove each port in and port out for BSNL, he included.
