Around 6,000 sensors are being set up throughout India to obtain facts on lakes, reservoirs and rivers. A different 1,600 sensors will observe underground drinking water. All will be connected to the mobile phone network and will transmit authentic-time data, which includes water concentrations and weather conditions situations such as rainfall, humidity and air pressure.
