The Delhi Commission for Females (DCW) has summoned Twitter India and Delhi Law enforcement officers around alleged films of youngster pornography and rape getting shared on the social media system. DCW took suo moto cognizance of numerous alleged tweets on the social media system Twitter exhibiting child pornography.
“Movies of baby pornography were shared on Twitter and were offered for Rs. 20. Twitter is yet to delete them and report it further more. We have summoned the head of Twitter India and have sought a report. We have also summoned Delhi Law enforcement and have sought quick action,” DCW main Swati Maliwal advised ANI.
DCW stated these tweets are brazenly depicting video clips and images of sexual acts involving youngsters.
In its letter to Twitter India and Delhi Police, the Fee said, “Some of the twitter accounts participating in these criminal functions show up to be running a racket whereby they seek cash for supplying pornographic and rape videos of little ones and women of all ages from other people of the social media platform,” reported DCW.
The Commission claimed there seems to be hundreds of these types of objectionable movies on the social media system which are brazenly displaying kid pornography and rape videos of women and kids.
DCW stated it is deeply distressing that this sort of illegal acts involving sexual abuse of young children and younger ladies are being publicised overtly by means of the social media system Twitter.
The Fee stated it needs to ascertain the methods becoming taken by Twitter to protect against this kind of “filthy and outrightly criminal functions” getting propagated by way of its medium as well as the systems in spot in the system to immediately report the very same to regulation enforcement companies.
“Now therefore you are hereby summoned to show up in advance of the Fee for the reason aforementioned on September 26. If you fail to comply with this order with no lawful excuse, you will be subjected to the effects of non-attendance as supplied in regulation,” mentioned DCW.
