
The official Twitter account of Popular Entrance of India (PFI) has been withheld in India by the social media platform “in response to a lawful desire”, a day after the Centre banned the outfit beneath the Unlawful Functions Avoidance Act (UAPA) for “terror one-way links”. The federal government had yesterday ordered the blocking of all the social media traces of the banned outfit, like its Twitter, YouTube channels, Instagram, and Facebook accounts.
The Ministry of Residence Affairs (MHA) produced the announcement to ban the organisation by means of a notification issued late on Tuesday night, declaring “the PFI and its associates or affiliate marketers or fronts as an unlawful affiliation with rapid influence”.
Alongwith PFI, the ban is also imposed on its fronts such as Rehab India Foundation (RIF). Campus Entrance of India (CFI), All India Imams Council (AIIC), Countrywide Confederation of Human Rights Business (NCHRO), National Women’s Front, Junior Front, Empower India Foundation and Rehab Basis, Kerala as an “illegal association”.
The notification obviously talked about that the ban has been imposed in opposition to PFI and its associates or affiliate marketers or fronts for “indulging in unlawful functions, which are prejudicial to the integrity, sovereignty and protection of the region and have the possible of disturbing general public peace and communal harmony of the nation and supporting militancy in the region.

Campus Front of India (CFI), All India Imams Council (AIIC), Nationwide Confederation of Human Rights Corporation (NCHRO), Nationwide Women’s Entrance, Junior Entrance, Empower India Foundation and Rehab Basis, Kerala as an ‘unlawful association’,” reads the notification.
“The Central Federal government hereby directs that this notification shall, topic to any get that may be made underneath area 4 of the UAPA have effect for a time period of five decades from the day of its publication in the Business office.”
The Centre issued the ban, citing the investigation of its agencies, mentioning “the investigations have founded very clear linkages in between PFI and its associates or affiliates or fronts”.
It is also accused that “some of the PFI’s founding customers are the leaders of College students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) and PFI has linkages with Jamat-ul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), both of which are proscribed organisations”.
